New3DS地位尴尬 制作人无意为其开发专属游戏
性能、设计上均有进步的New3DS去年10月份上市以来，多种新功能的加入在开卖初期吸引了不少关注，但专用游戏将无法在旧版3DS上运行这一缺点也引发了不少担忧。从市场表现上看，New3DS似乎并没有掀起一波舍旧换新的热潮，发售半年多以来仅推出了复刻版的《异度之刃》这一款专属游戏。New3DS和New3DS LL如今曾为3DS和WiiU开发过多款游戏的Renegade Kid工作室（开发过《月球历代记》、《Mutant Mudds》等游戏）负责人向媒体坦言，New3DS的确有很多新功能，但装机量实在太少了，他们并不愿意为其开发专属游戏。“我的意思是，没错，这台主机的确有一些新功能也许会用得上，但我们并不打算这么做。因为绝大多数人都还没有New3DS，他们手里只有旧版，我们必须考虑到这一点。”Renegade Kid的创始人之一Jools Watsham近日在一场面对面节目中称。Renegade Kid创始人之一Jools Watsham而且也没有迹象表示会有越来越多的人准备购置New3DS主机，因此他们不打算为其制作任何专属游戏。“New3DS没有我们想象的那么优秀，当然那根右摇杆另当别论。现实情况是只有很小一部分人购买了它。”New3DS最得人心的进步之一右摇杆。New3DS自带NFC功能，方便玩家读取Amiibo读盘时间的略微缩短也好，更加舒适的3D游戏也好，再加上容易被人忽略的右摇杆，似乎都无法成为玩家掏钱购买New3DS的主要动力，毕竟这台机器的核心仍然是发售于2011年的3DS，况且400×240的屏幕分辨率在当时就已经不算先进了。如今New3DS的尴尬得到了游戏开发人员的证实，想要力挽狂澜，恐怕还是得老任亲自出马，推出几款专属的第一方大作才行。
