水是兰花的生命之源，是兰花生长之根本。给兰花浇水是兰花栽培管理中最重要的环节。古人云：&养兰一点通，浇水三年功& 。这话是颇有道理的，它说明给兰花浇水是一门很深的学问，需要经过长期的实践和探索才能掌握。前人实践经验的积累和现代科学的探索，为我们提供了一条捷径，他们对兰花浇水问题的认识，很值得我们去学习、去思索、去研究。
　　一、水是兰花的生命之源
　　首先，水是兰花植株原生质的重要成分。兰株原生质的含水量一般在80％以上，如果含水量减少，生命活动便受到影响。如果原生质失水过多，就会引起原生质的破坏，而导致植株死亡。
　　其次，水是兰花植株新陈代谢过程中的原料。兰株体内的同化、异化作用，均需水分子参与，如光合作用、呼吸作用、水解反应等。
　　再次，水是兰花植株代谢过程的介质。栽培基质中的营养元素只有溶于水，才能被兰花根系吸收，各种代谢产物也必须随水转运到兰株体内各部分。
　　第四，水能使兰花植株保持固有的形态。兰株细胞内只有含有大量水分，才能使细胞膨胀，植株挺立，便于接受光照和气体交换，兰株一旦失水就会萎蔫。
　　第五，水能调节兰花植株的体温。水有很高的汽化热和比热，又有较高的导热性，有利于兰株保持体温和散发热量，给兰花浇水，其重要作用之一就是调节兰花植株的体温。
　　总之，水是兰花的生命之源，是兰花生长之根本，适当地满足兰株对水的需要，是兰花生长最重要的条件。
　　二、给兰株供水的二条途径
　　兰花植株所需水分之供给有二条途径：一是靠根部吸收植料中的水分，通过维管输送到全草；二是靠兰叶吸收空气中的水分，以供兰株新陈代谢所需。懂得这一道理，也就知道该如何向兰株供水了。
　　三、给兰株浇水的方法
　　给兰株根部供水的方法有：灌、洒（淋）、浸三种。&灌&就是用水壶沿盆边注水，此法的优点是水不会灌到叶心，缺点是浇水速度慢，且难以浇透，要反复灌多次才能达到浇透的效果。&洒&就是用喷壶或莲蓬头洒水，把整个养兰环境都喷湿，让水从土表渗到兰根，湿润兰盆，此法的优点是水可浇透整个兰盆，缺点是水易溅到叶心内，要小心使用，否则会烂心。&浸&就是将兰盆的四分之三连同植料一起浸入水中，优点是水可浸透，缺点是容易传播细菌，且费工费时。养兰高手常将这三种方法混合使用，效果十分理想。
　　给兰叶供水的方法有：喷、增湿二种。&喷&就是用喷雾器喷出细雾，直接散落在兰叶上，让兰叶通过气孔吸收进体内。&增湿&就是增加空气湿度，让兰叶吸收。增湿的方法亦有几种：一是用增湿机弥雾，增加空间湿度；二是增加水面，在兰架下多设水盆，靠水分挥发来增加空间湿度；三是人工模拟降雨，溅起水雾，增加空气湿度；另外亦有用增氧泵放水盆内帮助挥发水气等等。
　　四、给兰株浇水的水质
　　野生兰花是靠雨水生长的，因而栽培兰花用水要自然而纯净，以清洁、微酸（&R&E性值为5.5左右）为好，通常以雨水为佳，河水为优，自来水为次，井水不可用。&雨水&中肥料成分多而全，其中春雨特佳，雷阵雨偏优，秋雨次之，人工雨忌用，酸雨有害。&河水、塘水&是雨水汇集而成，对兰花有益，但受工业废水污染的河水则不可用；&自来水&如取自地下则不可用，如取自河中其本质仍是雨水，但经水厂加工后，有消毒、澄净制剂存在，这对兰花是有害的，不可直接施用，解决方法有二：一是用几个缸注满自来水，露天曝晒，存放多日，周转使用；二是放入少量果皮如桔皮、苹果皮等，存放一二天后再用，这对改变自来水的水质有实效。&井水&属地下水，一是温度低，骤然浇灌对兰花生长不利，二是偏碱性，井水中含钙、镁的盐分较多，经常浇灌对兰花是有害的。
　　五、给兰株浇水的时机
　　兰&喜润而畏湿，喜干而畏燥& ，这句古人之言很有科学道理的。&湿& 、&润& 、&干& 、&燥&是有程度不同的区别的，过润即湿，&湿&为水分过多，会使兰根窒息腐烂死亡；过干即燥，&燥&为水分过缺，会使兰株萎蔫，生长受挫，甚至干枯至死；而&干&与&润&为水分适中，是兰花生长所喜爱的状态。要认识&干&和&润&这个关健问题，必须在实践中细心观察和体验，逐步积累经验才能真正掌握，无速成办法，非&三年功&不可。一般说来，在盆面植料干而不燥，盆底孔润而不湿时，即为给兰株浇水的最佳时机。不必等盆土完全干透了再浇，否则对兰花的生长发育会造成不良影响。
　　六、给兰株浇水要依据自然因素
　　对兰株浇水，要依据影响兰株蒸腾作用的湿度、温度、光照、风力、季节、天气等各种自然因素，从而作出不同的水分管理措施。
　　首先，要看湿度。如空气中湿度较低，蒸腾作用强，就要多浇水；反之空气中湿度高甚至饱和，蒸腾作用几乎停止，就要少浇水甚至无须浇水。
　　其次、要看温度。气温高蒸腾作用加快，需水量大，浇水次数亦相应增加；反之气温底，水分子活动缓慢，扩散力弱，需水就少。
　　再次，要看光照。光照强蒸腾作用加快，加速水分子扩散，需水量多；反之需水就少，因此光照不同，遮光度不同，对水的管理也不同，受阳的多浇，背阳的少浇。
　　第四，要看风力。风力强水分蒸发快；风力弱水分蒸发慢；干燥的西南风会增强蒸发，相反潮湿的东南风会导致蒸腾作用相对减弱；置于风口的兰盆受风多水分蒸发快，背风处受风少的兰盆水分蒸发慢。
　　第五，要看季节，季节不同温度、湿度、光照均不同，兰株的蒸腾作用差异也很大。气候炎热干旱的夏季多浇；梅雨季少浇或不浇；低温阴冷的冬天不浇；气温较低的早春少浇；气候温和的暮春正值发芽期多浇；干燥的秋季多浇。
　　第六，要看天气，自然界天气变化无常，不同的天气光照、温度、湿度均不同，兰株的蒸腾作用也千差万别。基本做法是：晴天多浇、阴天少浇、即将下雨不必多浇、下雨（雪）天不浇。
　　据此，对兰株浇水很难有一个准确而统一的管理方法，所谓&几天浇一次水&的说法是缺乏科学依据的。
　　七，给兰株浇水要根据兰情
　　给兰花浇水，总的原则是&不干不浇，浇则浇透& 。然而在日常管理中情况是复杂的，要根据兰花的具体情况具体分析对待。
　　首先，要根据兰花的生长季节。兰花在生长期或孕蕾期应多浇水，休眠期应少浇或不浇，发芽期应多浇，发芽后可少浇，花芽出现时多浇，开花期少浇以延长花期，花谢后停浇数日，让其休眠然后再浇。
　　其次，要根据兰花的生长情况。兰花长势强壮的多浇，长势较差的少浇，病株不浇，需抢救的兰花少浇或不浇，盆内植株多的多浇，少的少浇。
　　再次，要根据栽培基质的保湿情况。基质颗粒细、保水力强的基质水分消耗慢（如山土木屑等），需减少浇水次数；相反颗粒较粗的基质保水力弱（如仙土），则需增加浇水次数。
　　第四，要看盆钵的质地和大小。透气性强的瓦盆要多浇，透气性差的紫砂盆、塑料盆要少浇，小盆易干，大盆难干，浇水的次数亦有区别。
　　总的说来，给兰花浇水要具体情况具体对待，不可千遍一律地简单化。
　　八、给兰株浇水的时间
　　给兰株浇水，在时间上亦有一定的科学性。总的说来，以上午浇水为好。 一般说来，暮春和夏秋兰花在室外时，以早上浇水为宜：一是经过一夜的降温，早上盆中植料温度较低，此时浇水不会伤苗；二是早上浇透，至傍晚转润，夜间空盆无渍水，盆中空气流通，有利于兰根呼吸循环，有利于兰花生长。三是如傍晚浇水，夜间水分蒸发慢，易造成渍水，而白天蒸腾作用快时盆中已转润，造成&须干时盆中渍水，须润时盆中缺水&的局面；四是傍晚时兰盆温度尚高，骤用冷水浇灌突然降温，会影响根系吸水，干扰生理平衡；五是夜间气温底，兰株细胞活动弱，过多水分会造成病菌繁衍，还会滋生蜗牛、蛞蝓。而冬天和早春兰花在室内时，浇水的时间则适当推迟，到上午气温回升后九时左右或中午浇水为好。
　　关于浇水时机，总体上把握的原则是：兰花浇水以上午为好，气温高时早一点浇，气温低时晚一点浇。
　　九、给兰株浇水的量
　　&浇则浇透&是对兰花浇水量多少的一种衡量标准。什么是&浇透& ？&浇透&的标准是不仅使水从盆底孔流出来，并且要湿透盆中全部植料。往往浇一次水，虽有水从底孔流出，仍达不到&透&的标准，为了使盆中植料湿透，可分数次浇或采用浸盆法浇水，对于干燥的颗粒植料，非浸盆不能浇透，但采用浸盆法不要连续使用，须间隔一定的时候，让兰花有喘气的时间。另外冬天及早春，用水量不宜太大，以润为好。
　　十、给兰株浇水的几项注意点
　　给兰花浇水还有许多注意点：
　　首先，要注意水温。冬天勿用冷水浇灌，水温要和室温相近，以8&10&c为宜。夏天勿用热水浇灌，如用水塔储水，需防水温过高伤及兰株、兰根，水温不能超过25&28&c，也不能骤用冷水浇灌，以免伤及兰株。
　　其次，要注意湿度。空气湿度太大，达90--100度时，万不可浇水、喷雾，白天湿度以70--90为宜，湿度太大会减弱根部吸收水分的作用，影响生根数量，使兰株失去原动力。
　　再次，要注意保护新芽。新芽开*期，以实施根部浇水为宜，尽量少洒水、喷水，否则水灌叶心引起渍水腐烂，造成损失。
　　第四，要注意不浇半截水。有人错误认为兰花不可多浇水，因而不敢浇水，常浇半截水，盆料长期上湿下干，造成根部因缺水干枯。
　　第五，要注意少浇静置水。用水塔储水，静置时间太长，水分子则成链状体，时间越长越不易拆散，难以参与代谢活动，不利兰株吸收。
　　第六，要注意浇&还魂水&。傍晚施肥以后，兰株通过一个晚上的吸收，能有效地吸收大部养分，此时最需水分，就象人饭后要喝茶一样，因而第二天早上需浇&还魂水& 。其作用有二个：一是冲洗掉叶上溅沾的肥液；二是洗去盆中残肥，以防肥害。
　　第七，要注意浇水不要太勤。兰花对水的宽容度是很大的，是比较耐旱的植物，略干一点影响不大。相反湿了可不行，积水24小时就会造成窒息，日常栽培中，绝大多数人是爱兰太甚，浇水太勤，造成根部腐烂，以致植株死亡。
第八，要注意&酸雨&。如用雨水，有二种雨水不可用，一是酸雨水不可用来浇兰。所谓&酸雨&即悬浮于空气中的硫化物、氟化物及其它酸性物质，降雨时随之降落，形成&酸雨& ，此水切不可用来浇兰；二是人工降雨的水，雨弹中含有化学物质，这些物质溶于雨水中，用来浇兰也会腐蚀兰根。
　　第九，要注意不任意喷水。&喷水&是必需的，除补充水分外，还可使兰叶保持清新，有利于兰叶呼吸和进行光合作用，但也不能随意喷水：强烈日光照射时不能喷；高温天气不能喷；无风难干时少喷；有杂质的水不能喷；雨天湿度太大时不能喷等等。
　　以上是前人在栽培兰花的实践过程中，积累的有关浇水的基本经验，很值得我们借鉴。但对兰花浇水从无一定&成法& ，只有经过亲自实践、逐步积累经验，才能融会贯通、应用自如。
