这里所谓的吃鸡并不是真的吃鸡,而是在Steam热门游戏《绝地求生：大逃杀》中，每当玩家赢得一局时，屏幕上会显示“大吉大利，晚上吃鸡。”所以国内习惯管他叫吃鸡游戏。
何赢了晚上就要吃鸡而不吃别的。要回答这个问题，我们首先得看一下游戏英文原版是怎么说的，原版显示的是“Winner Winner Chicken Dinner！”看来中文版的这句话是从英文原版直接翻译过来的。
在英语系国家，这句话是外国赌场中常见的一句俚语。那么为何要用吃鸡来表示胜利呢。据考证，这是一种源自拉斯维加斯赌场的文化，赌徒上场前为赢钱求个好彩头往往就说这句话，大概就和我们中国人说“天灵灵地灵灵，保佑我一定赢”差不多。至于其由来，有一种说法是，在上世纪70年代，美国拉斯维加斯的大小赌场中赢一局可以得2美元，而当时赌场中供应一种包含三块鸡肉和土豆蔬菜的餐食，售价1.79美元，所以赢一局所获得的钱可以买一份鸡肉吃。
如何才能获胜吃到鸡呢。这个游戏的基本规则很简单：游戏开始一群人（100人左右），将会经过飞机跳伞到下图这座孤岛上，通过获取资源，组队，生存，逃杀，随着可活动范围的不端缩小，互相之间的战斗也会越发激烈，而最后存活的一名玩家将获得游戏胜利。听起来很简单很残酷对不对，没错，虽然整体机制简单粗暴，但是呢也正是因为这种纯粹且充满残酷的“大逃杀”美学，才会让这款游戏有如此大的魅力。
