含薄荷醇酯手性侧链液晶高分子的合成与表征
，手性侧链液晶高分子无论是在基础研究方面还是在技术应用上都受到相当地
重视。它们的液晶器件不但显示了高Ps和低响应时间的优点，而且克服了小分
子液晶稳定性差，难于成膜的缺点。而许多卤代和氰代手性液晶高分子的玻璃化
温度低于室温，清亮点高于室温，粘度低，稳定好，所以近年来倍受液晶研究者
本论文合成了两种液晶单体4一烯丙氧基苯甲酸．4‘．氯苯酚酯(M1)、4-烯丙
氧基苯甲酸．4
和M3为单体与甲基含氢硅氧烷发生接枝共聚反应，制得聚合物P1系列；同理，
以M2和M3为单体制得聚合物P2系列。利用红外分析和荧光分析对单体和聚合
物的化学结构进行了表征：利用偏光显微镜(POM)；示差扫描量热仪(DSC)，
热重量分析仪(TGA)和小角x射线衍射对单体和聚合物的液晶性能和热性能进
行了分析和表征；利用旋光仪对单体(M3)和聚合物的手性进行表征。
实验和分析结果表明，所合成的聚合物既具有手性又具有液晶的特性。聚合
物P1系列和聚合物P2系列都是近晶型液晶。聚合物P1系列的液晶玻璃化温度
低于23℃，P2系列的玻璃化温度低于40℃：液晶态温度区间大于50℃；热失重
5％的温度都在297℃以上，所以聚合物Pl和P2系列的液晶态温度区间宽，耐热
叫本文合成的液晶高分子把手性中心和液晶基元分成独立的两个单元，手性基
元在不影响液晶性能的前提下既能提供手性又能充当填充剂，同时降低了液晶器
件的成本。由此，本文摆脱了手性中心位于液晶基元上的传统思路，另辟了合成
手性液晶的新途径。‘Y
