About This Game
Set in the zombie apocalypse, Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2) is the highly anticipated sequel to the award-winning Left 4 Dead, the #1 co-op game of 2008.
This co-operative action horror FPS takes you and your friends through the cities, swamps and cemeteries of the Deep South, from Savannah to New Orleans across five expansive campaigns.
You'll play as one of four new survivors armed with a wide and devastating array of classic and upgraded weapons. There are multiple difficulty, with Normal serving as a good entry-level challenge while on Expert only those with the best communication, decision-making, and reaction skills will survive.Left 4 Dead 2's Realism mode makes the challenge even more daunting, removing helpful glows around items and weapons amongst other things, meaning it's all up to your communication skills to call out ammunition and item pickups or to let people know you're in trouble. These enemies are tricky to contend with in the field, especially when a few of them descend on you at the same time, and overall the addition of these new boss zombies adds in a welcome amount of depth and, if you're playing as Survivors, unpredictability to the play experience.If your Infected team is working together you can time Boomer bile attacks with Jockey jumps and Spitter attacks so large groups of common zombies are attacking while one Survivor stumbles under a Jockey's control and the rest are slowly dying in a pool of acid.It's not just the better campaigns, the more fully-realized and detailed environments and the switch from the dark city streets of the first game to the bogs, carnival grounds, marshes, and sunlit construction yards that contribute to reasons why this is a better game. There's also a wealth of little things that make this a sturdier, more complex, and more entertaining experience.The melee weapons can absolutely shred the undead, particularly the machete, katana, and limited use chainsaw.If your Survivor teammates are trying to heal and share adrenaline shots, choose between med packs or defibrillator kits, or decide between pipe bombs, Molotov cocktails, or the new bile bombs that when shattered are like zombie lightning rods, there's no better way to seal off entrance to the area than by meeting any approaching foe with a whirring chainsaw. Survival mode, the players try to stay alive on a
map against endless waves of infected, and they earn medals and leaderboard-worthy times for their troubles. Without the joy of escape, this mode isn't as satisfying as its longer counterparts. The same is not true for the new Scavenge mode. Here, survivors try to collect gas tanks from around a map and pour them into a generator to add more time to the dwindling clock. A team of infected try to stop them and kill them. This mode more adeptly mirrors the frustrations and rewards of Versus mode. On the one hand, you have the challenge of survival and the thrill of each can su on the other, you have the task of foiling the survivors' well-armed efforts and the grim satisfaction of taking them down. Each team plays both sides per round, and the first to three round victories wins.Left 4 Dead 2 is a much better game and much better value. The new campaigns and unique game modes offer more variety and more longevity, while all the other additions and tweaks make the already great gameplay even more enjoyable.
Left 4 Dead 2 is best enjoyed with friends, and every mode is seamlessly integrated online.Even so, it remains one of the most distinctive co-operative titles out there, and allows for some of the most nerve-searing team-based multiplayer gaming on the market.Sorry for my bad english.Thanks for reading! I cannot stress this enough, this game is possibly the best purchase you could ever get in the Steam store. Everything from the mechanics, co-op, storyline, campaigns, weapons, characters, modding community and visuals are absolutely staggering and is just one of those gems every PC gamer must have in their collection. I could write a much longer review about this perfect game, but either you already know a lot about this game's magnitude or I would just want to surprise the very minimal group of people who are not familiar with this game.

Perfect party game that is really, really good if you play it with friends because alone it?s good but it doesnt make that much fun and it gets boring. You can play competitive, campaign, versus ( humans vs. infected) ;), camapign solo etc. also there is a steam workshop that gives you so much extra content. The community is still revealing many mods for this game.

One of the best FPS/co-op survival zombie game out there, even after 5 years. Fun & really addicting to play, not much more to say there :D11/10Ps. We need a free weekend for this game already, so people that still didn't get Good Guy Nick achievement can get it & I know a few that have been waiting a lot & only have this achievement remaining (like me)

Awesome zombie coop game. Even old, I still got some good fun moments with my friends playing some campaigns
since I'm not into versus gamemode that much.You will get addict to this game for a time, then take a long break after hours and hours playing the same maps - but thanks to the Workshop, you can subscribe to a tons of mods, maps and skins for your own gameplay style. There are yet popular servers of 4x4 ; 10x10 coop styles.Again, Left 4 Dead 2 it's like an &upgraded& version from the L4D1: more special infected zombies, maps, new characters and you can still play the maps and the old characters from the first game. I strongly recommend you to buy this one first since it's better than L4D1. The workshop keep this game alive I believe. Enjoy!9.5/10

One of the best games to play with your friends or by yourself. The characters in this game makes the game-play fun, as well as crazy enemies. Requires a lot of teamwork if you want to survive. I highly recommend this game to everyone.

This is my first fps game so I really like it. for first 1000+ hours I just played campaign then I started to get bored of this game, but then I tried to play competitive modes too which I didnt wanted to play cuz
of too much tension in these and we can't even take break for 2 mins, but once you have friends to play with its really enjoyable. It gots many other modes as mutation category and lots of custom campaigns, wow its like second Garry's mod which I stoped playing after 1 hour cuz downloads too much data and I just get stuck in loading forever... Anyway campaign is always fun for timepass, chating with friends and finding new friends.

if you think that mario party ruins friendships, you're right most of the time. however, that game doesn't give you the option to book it to the saferoom when a witch or tank is after you and everyone else either died or is incapacitated. unless either spawns in the saferoom, then you're *&#$ed either way10.25/10

许多人刚下好L4D的时候不知道怎么联机和建服，我自己吔尝试了不少联机方法也上过不少平台比如竞舞台 VLAN 国美IBOX。感觉IBOX最方便鈈需要STEAM就可以很轻松联机，不用象IP直连法需要自己到处去宣传自己IP让囚进服。另外某些内网玩家用IP直连法联机很麻烦。这里就介绍下怎么鼡IBOX联机和建服。(PS 别下载IBOX上提供的L4D 会无法联机）
1安装IBOX 注册好，进入L4D游戏夶厅。
2设置游戏参数可执行文件或快捷方式，点击浏览载入HL2.EXE，没这程序可以下载附件。
（下载好HL2.EXE后放到l4d目录下和l4ft4dead.exe一起）。参数处填写 假如選择程序路径是 e:\Left4
Dead\hl2.exe&&则参数处就填写e:\Left4Dead\hl2.exe&空格-game left4dead&&（英文引号）

3用IBOX启动游戏 进叺游戏选项 打开 允许使用开发者控制台
4建立服务器：
直接按~键，开启控制台：
输入：map l4d_airport01_greenhouse 回车建立成功。（打玩MAP这个几个英文字母 下方选单会囿许多地图选择 挑你自己喜欢的）
5联机 (有2种）
直接按~键，开启控制台
輸入：connect 128.128.128.？
？就是开服务器玩家的虚拟ip
查看玩家虚拟ip 切换到桌面打开IBOX界媔 观察右边有一排玩家名单 把鼠标指到玩家名字上，就可以查看到该囚的IP 。同样开服务器的玩家也可以在聊天区把自己的IP告诉其他玩家，方便大家联机。(IBOX现在有开服务器玩家图标提示 便于查看和寻找）
打开ST 鼡IBOX进游戏后直接按~输入命令open（下方会出现完整命令）回车 弹出个窗口 選局域网 里面就会出现IBOX上所有的服务器 双击进入（这个方法可以更快速了解现在所有服务器状况，查找联机也更快捷点。）
PS 换对抗模式的話呼出控制台输入
投票 更改为对抗地图：
callvote ChangeMission farm_vs
callvote ChangeMission hospital_vs
在对抗模式中投票更改难度：
callvote ChangeDifficulty easy
callvote ChangeDifficulty Impossible

IBOX还是不错的，首先没有官方的建主软件也可以建立主机，其次速度都挺快。竞舞台服务器比较多，但是中國的基本满人，到国外的话网速LAG太多。所以我觉得还是IBOX好用。

我用的无线路由器而且也是内网，我用IBOX联机和开服都没问题。 群里有些人也遇到这情況，MS遇到的问题都是与服务器连接10次失败 。可惜暂时未能解决这个问題，但我发现有这个问题的人都是从IBOX上下载的L4D，你可以换个L4D版本试试。用高压版和900M的基本用IBOX联机都没问题。
