The Beijing Electron Positron Collider(BEPC)was built in 1 989 and its
research field covers Tau physics and the precise research of standard model．BEPC
consists of the injector,the storage ring，the transportation line，the Bering
Spectrometer(BES)，the Beijing Synchrotron Radimion Facility(BSe．F)，etc．It is a
very important experiment equipment forChina to do research in particle physics·
After the upgrade of BEPC，BEPCII is a high luminosity,multi—bunch
with the peak luminosity of 1033cm-2S。1 and BESIII is much more powerful than
BESII in the performance．It is important for the particle physics to get high quality
events with the large statistics in a short time in order to test the Standard Model
wim a very high precision．
BESIII Muon electronic system includes VME subsystem and FEC(Front-End
Circuit)subsystem．The VME subsystem，which Was placed outside the detector，
consists of one VME controller,one VME control／fanout module and ten VME
readout modules．There are 572 Front．End Circuits in the FEC subsystem which is
inside of the detector．The FEC converts analog signals into digital signals，chooses
file parallel data according to the trigger signals，and transmits the data in serial
As an important part of BESIII Muon electronic system development，the design
and upgrade ofVME control／fanout module iS discussed in detail in this thesis．
The function of BESIII Muon electronic system VME control／fanout module is
to receive fast control signals from optical sub．circuit and send these signals to
ReadOut and FEC；FANOUT also receive FULL，ERROR and some other status
signals from ReadOut and FEC and sends these status signals to Trigger system via
optical sub．circuit．FANOUT will generate trigger,CHK and other control signals to
make VME electronic system work in self-test mode．
