microsoft vc redist package problem
its showing that for over an hour: microsoft vc redist package problem (1 out of 4) without any progress, doing it manually also somehow does nothing, what can i do? getting a bit tired of this

Force close the redist installer in task manager and see if it launches. that doesnt even show up, guess thats the problem i guess?
Go into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\_CommonRedist\vcredist and delete the text files for vcredist
and 2013. After that, restart your computer. Now that you have rebooted, withouth launching the game again to attemt and install the software again, go back into the folders which I listed and manually install each vcredist using either vcredist.exe x86 for 32 bit users or vcredist.exe x64 for 64 bit users. manually install, ensuring that they are in the same folder as before? ( steam/steamapps/common/commonredist/vcredist)? I'm guessing if they are anywhere else, since it is using steam to launch it won't work? (sorry for such a noob question, as im not a programmer or any level of computer wiz)

(sorry for such a noob question, as im not a programmer or any level of computer wiz) You should install vcredist from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\_CommonRedist\vcredist as there are files you cannot see being made there and elsewhere.
uhm thanks i think, dont know why you somehow decided to respond to 9 month old question people like to necro threads in the last days.. no idea why.. usually a few times per day somebody responds on a 9 month old thread that complains about bad performance. For example&i get 5fps with Graphics Card XXY& - June 2015Somebody else:&no not true i get 45fps with the same card& - March 2016..

steam的游戏环境包还能重新安装么？
RT，电脑系统不小心崩溃了，win10的系统，然后重置了系统，发现steam上面部分游戏无法启动了。
点击开始后头像会变绿显示游戏中一小会，然后就又变蓝了，然后就没有然后了。。。。。。:+:37
以Deathtrap为例，我从文件夹内直接启动显示系统缺少MSVCR100.dll与MSVCP100.dll DX修复工具了检测了，这两个文件我看文件夹内也有。
游戏删除重装我也试了，还是一样。重装后的第一次启动没有在安装游戏环境包了，有没有办法让游戏在安装一遍环境包呢？
游戏文件夹下的_CommonRedist文件夹内的东西也安装了，貌似没用。
这两个文件是 Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable，即 VC2010 运行时库。因为系统的运行机制，有这两个文件系统也不一定认，必须安装一次。
通常 Steam 上的游戏会自带此组件，但你说的 Deathtrap (AppID 310510)似乎并不带这个 depot。_CommonRedist 下应该只有 DirectX 和 PhysX。
如果游戏目录内有 vcredist 文件夹的话，请安装里面的文件。通常这个文件叫做 vcredist_x64.exe (64位) 或 vcredist_x86.exe (32位)。
你也可以在微软的官方网站上查找下载。如果你也安装了很多其它游戏的话，其它游戏很可能会自带此组件，这样在其它游戏的文件夹下找找就行了。
此文件位于 _CommonRedist\vcredist\2010\vcredist_x64.exe 或 _CommonRedist\vcredist\2010\vcredist_x86.exe，根据你的系统位数安装或两个都装。

试试右击 游戏属性，本地文件 验证游戏缓存的完整性
如果不行就下 XXX的游戏常用运行库安装包运行下吧游侠和3DM貌似都有

查看游戏本地文件里的install或者_CommonRedist文件夹，运行库都在里面
那两是VC++2010的运行库，你检查DX当然没用

验证完整性没有用，重装也试过了

除了.net的要去掉设置首页其他的都干净，页面也有写怎么关闭设置首页的
如果你是Win10的话可以考虑自己装.net和VC然后系统设置里面更新，偏复杂一点就是了:+:{汗}

我都是装的3大妈的游戏环境库，玩游戏重来没遇到过其他问题

我记得游戏目录里有一个文件是个批处理程序，自动静默安装所需要的库的。不过我在路上，回家给你找找？

想来应该是有的，Steam 本身就使用一个安装脚本来安装所需的库文件。只不过我没找过，而且 Steam 以前用的是 installscript.vdf，现在用的是 runasadmin.vdf 了，而后者似乎是自动生成的，只存在一瞬间。既然你问了，那我找找看。
另外 Steam 将库文件的安装信息保存在注册表，你其实也可以删除来让 Steam 认为没有安装过。该信息保存在 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Valve\Steam\Apps 下，可以将该项下的所有子项都删除，这样所有游戏都会重新安装库文件。注意记得先备份该项，按右键选择导出即可。

一般来说游戏目录下都会有一个：installscript.vdf的文件，这个文件里面记录了所有需要安装的库文件，而且基本都在游戏目录下。
这个文件其实就是个文本文件，json格式的，你用记事本打开就行，例如《无主之地2》的是这样的：

& & & & & & & & & & & & &NoCleanUp&& & & & & & & & &1& 这个应该是安装完毕后是不是清除掉安装文件，1应该是不清除掉
你根据这个文件，一个一个exe自己手动装了就行
如果你不想用手工一个一个去点击安装，可以试试这个命令：
C:\Program Files\Steam\bin\SteamService.exe /installscript C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\jamestown\installscript.vdf 94200
我来解释一下，这段命令分为4段，用空格分开：
C:\Program Files\Steam\bin\SteamService.exe ----------- 表示执行你steam安装目录下的SteamService.exe文件，根据自己的安装目录修改
/installscript ------------------------------------------------ 表示执行自动安装脚本的命令
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\jamestown\installscript.vdf --------- 表示你要安装的脚本所在的路径
94200 ------------------------------------------------------- 表示游戏的ID号，自己查一下

首先先谢谢大神的详细解答，我找了一下，这个vdf文件有的游戏里面有，有的没有（也许只是我没找到o(╯□╰)o）。最后还是手动在目录中找到了组件安装的。

此方法看似可行，然而 Steam 早已改变机制，现在首次安装时运行的脚本已不是 installscript.vdf，而是根据其内容动态生成的 runasadmin.vdf。另外 Steam 自带的通用库，也就是 Steamworks Common Redistributables (AppID 228980)的各个库不用写脚本了似乎，游戏只需写自己带的就行，Steam 会自动生成。
所以楼上会说有的游戏有有的没有，因为它不用自己写了。所以我不太推荐此方法，因为这不一定能安装全部库。推荐的话，要么就是手动一个个安装就行，要么可以删注册表(可以保存成文件双击即可)。
