Did not hunt any Caribbeans in this game, however, there were a lot of pirates.Pros:+Ship Combat is pretty good.+Trading is also pretty good.+Just sailing around is pretty good.+Own an entire fleet of ships. Painted black, of course.+Economy and resource management if you're into that.+Blowing things up if you're into that.+Not pay to win at all.Cons:-Graphics are pretty eh, but I heard it's a mobile port so it's all good.-Control at most 4 ships at a time but then again micromanagement isn't really my thing.9/10 would pirate (nevermind, it's free) again

The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt is a free game but more importantly, it is a mobile game. It's for android and iphone devices, tablets and visa versa. Having that said, the game works fully in sync with any device you play on, including pc. That's what I loved about this game. It's free and fully reachable from every platform. You play it on steam, and go out, you continue your save game on the bus, get a few new ships, conquer a castle, and then you arrive back at your home and keep playing there. Even thou there are several other multi platform games I haven't seen another that allowed you to play the same saved game as this one did. Once that above is said, the game sucks in every other aspect. Well, not really in every aspect but in most of them, yessss. What this game felt to me like is that it must have been the naval battle addition (not addon) to infamous Mount & Blade games. The combination of these two games would have been incredible. Otherwise, the game is dull and repeatitive, the economy is nowhere, the missions are boring and repeatitive, the ai is terrible, the fights are weak and repeatitive, controls are icky, the sailing system is anno however in overall I am liking every second of 30 hours on steam + maybe half of that time on my phone. W is this crazy? Yes it is. There is little other entertainment matching the pleasure of your upgraded galleon shooting from 15 cannons towards enemy frigate, then starting a starbase fight till claiming the ship for your own. Argh the intense fighting, the foreseen but inescapable ending, the smoke of burning hull once their ships smash into your explosive traps, the screams of fallen sailors as their life leaves their flesh and bone shell. Damn this game feels good to beat.Oh also forgot to mention, there are more bugs then any Bethesda game has. I won't even bother naming them now.

This game was a pleasant surprise to me. I had thought it would have been pay-to-win multyplayer, or some cheepskate buy-the-ending title, but on the contrary, I now have something to bide my empty time.I will say this. It is not the hardest game in the world. The worst thing that happened to me was being stuck in a cutter (small military ship) that was decently fast and had a few good cannons. I managed to sink two enemy pirates at one point with the stern cannons I bought. Of course, anything larger than a ketch chasing you, you'd best hightale it out of there.Eventually, I saved for a carrak, a shipping vessle with a good cannon load. I could then fight off brigantines and the inexperienced brig captain, but it wasn't easy, and I ran in to a lot of them. When my experience really took off was when I bought and upgraded a corvett, an excelent ship. It's faster than nearly everything out there, decently strong with a good cannon load, it can carry almost as much as a carrak when the hold is upgraded and I could go toe-to-toe with anything less powerful than a Man-o'-War. 1st and 2nd rates are still above me atm.Overall, I've had an exciting time outrunning enemy corvetts and sinking pirate frigates, taking their flags and using them to patch my sails.Currently, I play a corvett decked to the nines, a pretty skilled captain, and a pet wookie named Steve. The game's progression is a good pace for me and you'll hardly ever run out of things to do. Currently, i'm trying to find a poorly defended port so I can capture a man-o'-war or something. With that, and the consideration the game is free, I have no issues with recomending this if you have some extra time on your hands. It's fun, decently paced, and it'll give you a few good stories to tell.Happy hunting~!!

This game has GREAT potential to become something HUGE. It just needs a few tweaks here and there, but the only complaint i have is that the game does not feel like an &open world& game. That is all i have to say.

good game if you want to sail on the caribbean

Really good for a free game, not experienced all the features yet, very similar to the old Total War ship based games.

The ????ing confedracy is ???????t. The appear out of no where and are unstoppable unless you pay real life money. There is no possible way to avoid them you can on sail and hope they get stuck on the coast. The confedracy pirates come about 4 hours into the game. They ruin the game completely don't download this game it is a waste of time. I will re download this game and remove this review if they change this ???????t.

LOVE THE GAME but how do you make a second acount thats only downside dont know how to
This game is simple to pick up, but hard to play.
It reminds me of Pirates Gold with 3d graphics.
I had a hard time taking more than a sloop.
I think the main ship is very hard to steer and to add extra ships to sail on top of that, gained from the corsair ability, is just asking too much of the player.
The controls are otherwise very basic.
I realize people want a challenge but to face 3 gigantic ships from The Confederacy at a time is impossible.
After spending one night trying to finish pirate missions and upgrade my ships and hideout, I feel defeated.
This game is damn fun. Holy. Once you get all the mechanics and aren't broke as hell it's a joy to play.
For a F2P game it is KILLER!!!Literally I though it would be one of those &Im Bored& Games but NO! It is an F2P Masterpiece.Maybe with some dlc and a graphics boost this game could really blast off...10/10 would pirate again( eventhough I downloaded it on steam)....
Very good. Best, even, for the price!Only sorrow is lack of instructions/manual. The manual is needed to understand how to manage a fleet of ships. As it goes it just seems AI &stupid&
I put 17 hours into this game so far. I must say its great for free. No need to pay real money for anything. Try it out.
Pros: Fun, great game for passive gamers, great game for capitalism gamers.cons: Not an MMO, I think making the game have an MMO aspect would be amazing in the free roam part of the game, the multiplayer part is small and you'll never find anyone to fight.Other than the multiplayer cons I think this game has potetial and could actually be the best pirate game ot there
The Game's ok,the sailing mechanics are well thought out.but the fights gets repetitive, the AI is horrendous... is easier to take down a fleet, solo than it is with multiple boats (you can control 4 at a time), but while not driving your own boat they are driven by the same AI as the enemy and liable to die or just get in the way.but yeah, as long as you got a rear cannon they will keep coming at you and you can just snipe themNiggling random little battles... what self respecting pirate attacks 3 bigger boats solo??? but they do in game, with such annoying regularity its a wonder there are any boats left.Is a nice waste of time, but ultimately, it just gets same ole... is free so, give it a go.The multiplayer aspect is 1v1 or 2v2 instanced battles, you dont get to share the same world.
