庇护是很简单的事，但是拯救，就不那么简单了。 不过Sanctuary和 salvation用在基督教里的翻译，应该是“庇护权/圣所”和“超度”，从剧情看也就是这句话本来是两层意思。
“庇护是很简单的事，但是拯救，就不那么简单了。 ”可以看似是在解释自己先前说的，自己看见溺水者会提供帮助，但是并不救人。二周目就会明白，老头子说的是“（得到诸神）庇护权是很简单的，但是（想要）‘离开’是很困难的。”

翻译的很全面，让我了解了剧情，不过我认为这游戏实际上是建立在古时欧洲流传的海上怪兽——北海巨妖克拉肯的传说上的，因为游戏里很多怪物都名为克拉肯。

传说克拉肯体型十分巨大，其浮出水面时就如一座小岛（游戏中的环境也是一个小岛），因此我推测，克拉肯实际上就是游戏中的那座岛，其上孕育了许多各式各样名为克拉肯的怪物，这些怪物实际上是由死去之人（我们的主角也是死去之人）在丢弃自己信仰后所变成的（就像魂世界里的游魂和小丧尸）。

说的很对，我还没更这里，不过也不打算更了，确实是这样，所以游戏里的怪物名字都是溺亡XXX，而无名之神就是将溺亡的人的灵魂不断进行屈服去获得力量的，最后杰莱特说过，恐惧和屈辱就是这个卑鄙之神的力量来源。

而这些怪物并不是丢掉自己的信仰，而是在不断的轮回中失去了意志，屈服了无名之主，Kneel to me嘛，看杰莱特的话，和小丑的话，就知道了，小丑的，ruler，ruled，和rule
