Why Early Access?
&Early Access is a way for you to enjoy RIOT – Civil Unrest while it is in the final stages of development. With the community’s support and input we aim to make RIOT – Civil Unrest an enjoyable simulation that will keep fans of the genre coming back for more time after time.
By launching the game into Early Access we hope to ensure the game will be rock-solid when fully launched. We encourage you to provide feedback as we progress through the final stages of development. With the community’s support, feedback and input we believe we can make RIOT – Civil Unrest even better then we have planned.&
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
&We envisage the game to stay in early access until sometime around Spring 2018.&
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
&All of RIOT – Civil Unrest’s core mechanics are in the Early Access version. We’ll continue to tweak these as well as add content. We’ll also respond to players’ suggestions, comments and recommendations. We'll also keep updating the code and offer patch/update notes so you can see exactly what we've changed.&
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
&The Early Access launch version is pretty robust. Progress on the game has been extraordinary over the past six months. We are confident the code will stand up to scrutiny.&
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
&Yes, probably, maybe... The price point is likely to change. The price certainly won't head south when the final version is released.&
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
&We want the community to get involved. The plan is to update regularly and post in the game's community pages on a regular basis. We'll look out for user comments, observations, recommendations and the like. Where possible we'll act on the community's suggestions too. To make things easy, every time a player leaves the game they'll be presented with a Google doc that can be submitted with suggestions and comments.&

Hello everyoneThe team are working around the clock to implement fixes and improvements to the game.Thank you to everyone who's provided feedback and bug reports to help with their efforts. So that we can bring you even more fixes, we're making a slight change to the update schedule. Fixes planned for the 29th are being pulled forward into an earlier build!To do this, we're not going ahead with the build planned on the 22nd. Instead, a mash-up of both updates will go live on the 24th.The update will include balancing and optimisation of match results and various bug fixes. Exact details will be posted closer to the release. If you're still experiencing issues, please make sure to report them on the Discussion Board & Bug Reports. We are reviewing this regularly and taking every effort to address all reports. Thank you for your patience while bugfixing continues. The team's been working hard, fixing a wide range of bugs and issues. Here's the list of what's been corrected in the latest updateAll police teams could be eliminated by leaving the faction with zero teamsSometimes adding a new team created an invisible cardSometimes by clicking &Edit& an assault team would open even if you were editing a balistic or tacticalThe &Cancel& button editing a police team saved the changes anywayThe ballistic weapons inside the &Edit& menu had different indices than the main police menu, so sometimes the correspondence between the weapon in the team card and the one in the Edit card was lost. Police item icons were not displayed correctlyClicking on the &None& object did not exit the object selection menuOpening the object selection menu for the police does not show correctly the selected objectVehicle in-game icon sometimes disappeared: FIXEDWhen a vehicle is destroyed, the side icon becomes grey.When a vehicle is destroyed, player is adviced by a in-game popup.Fixed bug which made run police men X-flipped.Zago is trying to find (then fix) the bug of in-game popup which remains on screen (stretched)By editing a police team the level of armor appeared always written in caps and not translatedBy deleting all the teams and adding only ballistic teams sometimes they were created with non-ballistic weapons and with a wrong background colourIncreased the cost of police itemsHotfixSome of the intro video lost the reference, resulting in a black screen. About This Game
As the world’s economical crisis deepens and inequality tears the very fabric of society the discontentment of the masses manifests itself in violent public disturbances and civil disorder. RIOT – Civil Unrest is the highly anticipated real-time riot simulator that places the player right in the heart of some of the world’s most fractious clashes. Campaigns include: Indignados (Spain), Arab Spring (Egypt), Keratea (Greece) and NoTAV (Italy). Seventeen single level scenarios include Rome, Oakland, Paris, London and Ukraine. RIOT – Civil Unrest’s creator, Leonard Menchiari, experienced rioting first-hand at the NoTAV protests in Italy. He created the game to tell the stories and express the feelings experienced during these clashes. What triggers the crowd to behave with such anger and aggression? Often outnumbered, what does a police officer feel like during the conflict? RIOT – Civil Unrest presents the player with the opportunity to experience both sides of the fight - a fight in which there really are no winners. Who is right and who is wrong?
