Hi. The first thread link you posted has a dead JSGME download link. A while back I uploaded a resource pack called Modding Tools and Utilities Compilation that contains the final JSGME 2.6 version.

Thanks, I will have to update Neal Stevens again. We fixed that months ago. So that is possibly where the file moderator queue error came from.
Then I will probably add the Modding Tools and Utilities Compilation and stating JSGME is included.

I like using the program so I can set a mods list and then save it to play on the German side and then set a mods list and play on the american side.
That way I do not have to load, unload mods all the time when I want to change.
The program simply saves it as a different profile.

JSGME leftover file/folder issues for SH4
Leftover file/folder issues:
Disable all mods. Nothing should be left behind in &Your drive
letter:\Silent Hunter
4\MODS\!BACKUP or &Your drive
letter:\Silent Hunter 4\MODS\!INSTLOGS&
folder. If there is something left in the !BACKUP folder, that is the path to follow and fix your problem.
SH4 Wolves of the Pacific:
The game is patched to version 1.4 which has file dates older than ????.
Verify files at the root folder of Silent Hunter4, and at least the
Silent Hunter4\data and all the data subfolders having dates older than ????.
Folder date changes give you a clue where to search first for files. See if any files are much newer than ???? in
your stock game without mods. Newer files than ???? are the ones that can cause a problem.
SH4 U-boat Missions:
The game is patched to version 1.5 which has file dates older than Dec 2007.
Verify files at the root folder of Silent Hunter4, and at least the
Silent Hunter4\data and all the data subfolders having dates older than Dec 2007.
Folder date changes give you a clue where to search first for files. See if any files are much newer than December 2007 in
your stock game without mods. Newer files than December 2007 are the ones that can cause a problem.

Can someone PM me with the date information I need?
Does anyone have SH4 Wolves of the Pacific version 1.4 only? If so, please disable all mods, then look around in the root folder and data folder and data subfolders. I need the latest file dates (month and year is good)
as a reference point for JSGME issues.

I had a problem with JSGME as of late, I had the program refuse to run because it was in the folder and, in another main folder,here is my solution.
&ok, have figured out JSGME problem, with the new version of this tool, I had to unzip the download,place the folder in the game,unpack the folder the run JSGME as admin.
anybody else have this problem here is the solution, manual unpack the main folder &

And keep in mind that JSGME isn't just good for Silent Hunter, I've used it with Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, Left4Dead, Unreal Tournament III, the Borderlands series, Fallout 3 and others. It's the swiss army knife of gaming help software!

Well, I'm having issues with JSGME on my Copy of SH4 (With U-Boat Missions). For some reason if I try to activate large mods (TMO, FOTRS), it just freezes up. If I run as an administrator, it can partially activate it (Tested with FOTRS) but it still freezes, forcing me to verify the files via steam to fix my install. I am running the latest version and before it worked fine, so I don't know why it is messed up now.
EDIT1: Tried reinstalling JSGME, still does the same thing. It's quite annoying that all of a sudden it is refusing to activate these larger mods, mostly because it actually partially does it, forcing me to verify the files and redownload them as said above.

&Generic Mod Enabler 是一个使用简单的坦克世界转服工具,玩家可自定义选择转到东南亚服、国服、美服、俄服或者欧洲服。转服操作起来也很简单,先将所有文件解压到目前所在服的主目录,然后运行 JSGME 之后确定 mods 所在目录(直接点击确定即可)再点选要转的服,最后加载 mod 即可。

& && & 本来是不打算写的,但是看到论坛很多帖子,诸如“...后来只好重装游戏”、“装了mod后不好用啊,怎么恢复到以前啊,只有重装吗?”、“dudu发的沉船正式mod要纯净的游戏,我以前装过mod的,看来只好重装了。”、“装了mod老是出错,怎么卸载mod啊。”......类似问题很多,不一一举例了。现在就告诉你这个工具能解决所有问题,对航海游戏来说,尤其奉献给沉船的玩家,毕竟装mod的人很多,出问题的人也不少。我由于会使用这工具,这些问题对我来说基本上都可以解决,独乐不如与众乐,现在分享给大家吧。
& && & ==使用 Generic Mod Enabler==(以猎杀为例吧)
1. 请首先确保纯净安装游戏并不做任何修改,最好已装好最新的补丁,尽管影响不大。如果你已经使用了一个先前版本的 Generic Mod Enabler,请关闭所有 mods。
2. 拷贝 JSGME.exe到游戏根目录下并启动一次。这将创建 MODS 和 !BACKUP 目录——如果它们不存在的话。此时你也应该为你“纯净”的游戏文件拍张快照,点击“任务…”并选择“生成游戏快照”(生成快照可以不做)。该快照可在你安装或卸载 mods 之后用来测试游戏文件的完整性。
3. 下载第三方 mods 之后,在 MODS 文件夹下解压到一个子文件夹下(子文件夹名随意命名,最好使用能够辩别 mod 功能的名称)。mod 作者一般应该为使用者做好这步工作。
4. 确保解压后的文件包含游戏的目录结构(就是那种mod目录和游戏目录相同,需要覆盖类的那种)。
5. 运行 JSGME.exe 你就能看到 mod 已经被列为可用 mod。选择并点击 &&& 按钮,或者直接拖拽到已激活 mods 栏,就成功安装了该 mod。【注意】你可以通过选择并右键单击 mod 来浏览该 mod 的说明文件。此时 mod 中 &documentation& 目录下的所有文件都会被列表显示。
6. 要关闭 mods,点击已激活的 mod 并按 &&& 按钮,或者直接拖拽。如果一个先激活的 mod 包含后激活 mod 的相关文件,那么在后激活 mod 关闭前,你就无法关闭此 mod。
7. 你可以点击 &&&& 按键一次关闭所有的 mods (在为游戏打升级补丁的时候非常有用)
8. 你可以点击“删除”按钮将未被激活的可用 mods 从电脑中移除
9. 你可以同时激活和关闭多个 mods,只要用 CTRL 或 ALT 来选择
10. 任何时候你都能通过选择“与快照对比游戏文件”来检查游戏文件的完整性。这将现有游戏文件与原始快照(第2步中生成)进行对比。 任何文件不一致都会想你报告。
11. 为了使得创建共享你的 mod 列表更为简洁,你可以通过选择“导出已激活 mods 列表”任务来生成列表到文本文件。
== Generic Mod Enabler 的工作原理 ==
当你运行 Generic Mod Enabler 时,所有在 MODS 目录下的子文件夹名称将被收集并列入“可用 mods”列表。通过安装,mod 的文件将被覆盖到游戏文件夹结构,在此之前原始文件会被自动以 mod 分类命名并移动到备份文件夹。这就是为什么 MODS 子文件夹下的目录结构要与游戏完全相同的原因。如果你想修改或升级 MODS 下的文件,请先关闭该 mod,当文件都更新之后再重新激活 mod。(例如,一个新版本的 mod 发布了,就应该这样做)
心得:如果你装mod覆盖游戏里的文件无疑会影响游戏的完整和纯净,当要覆盖的东西只有一两个的时候,你还可以找到要被覆盖的原文件,并加以备份,但是,一旦要覆盖的文件上百呢?难道还得一个个找到备份?所以这软件就是完成了覆盖过程,并将被覆盖的文件加以备份,如果mod出了问题还可以通过点击已激活的 mod 并按 &&& 按钮来关闭 mods,这样你的游戏就和没覆盖前一样的了,尤其我玩侠盗猎车手4经常要装一些美化真实或者其他mod,出错的话重装游戏要50分钟(我下的GBT高压版),有了这个可以放心装mod了,不行大不了按一个按钮回复一下就可以了。所以装dudu的mod有用的啊。
Generic Mod Enabler 应将在如下游戏下得到有效测试:
Grand Theft Auto IV(侠盗猎车手4)
European Air War(欧洲空战)
Panzer Elite(装甲精英)
Silent Hunter III/IV(猎杀3、4)
Total War(全战)
更多游戏可以兼容,只要根据上述说明,替换游戏目录结构为你希望使用的游戏。

至于汉化,详见压缩包里面的jsgme-simp**文件夹,拷贝一个lng文件到游戏安装目录,重启软件,软件就被汉化了。
另外最新版本的获取,可以点软件主界面的更新,也可以去官网

如果是前面补丁的追加补丁就依次加载,如果最新补丁囊括前面的,就卸载前面的,单独加载最新的,最后跳出提示是否覆盖要选是的。

我玩GTA4,用的绿色版,里面没看到BACKUP的文件夹,那装MOD的时候备份到哪里了?

BACKUP文件夹是隐藏文件夹,你设置一下隐藏文件可见就看见了,这个电脑常识啊。
