192.168.1.101 belongs to the IP address scope usually utilized on home computer nets where Linksys broadband routers are used. The routers DHCP configuration automatically assigns 192.168.1.101 to one of the PCs in the network. The DHCP range of a large number of Lynksys routers by default begins with 192.168.1.100, so the first PC gets this IP and the PC connected after it will get 192.168.1.101 and so on.
No hosts on the open Internet can be found on this IP address since 192.168.1.101 is defined as a private IP address. If you start getting messages that point to 192.168.1.101,there is nothing to worry about. They are probably from some of your local PCs.
What is a private IP address?
