Position:&Artist&&As an Artist in Glu you will be working within the Glu Asia-Pacific Development team located in Beijing. The primary responsibility of the Artist is to design and create graphics for games targeted at mobile and handheld devices.? Create in-game and supporting art for mobile and handheld devices? Design characters and environments for mobile and handheld games ? Understand and contribute to the overall game design? Work closely with game developers and game designers to reach a common goal? Work in close cooperation with the QA and Porting teamsThe ideal candidate meets the following criteria:&? 1-3 years of relevant experience? Intimate knowledge of 2D graphics tools and workflow (Photoshop)? Knowledge of 3D graphics tools and workflow (3DSMAX)? Strong understanding of color theory, character design and animation? Experience in creating art for constrained devices? Basic English skills? Creative energy and enthusiasm for “old school” pixel art a plus? Strong art portfolio a plus? Understanding and love of games&If you fit the above requirements, are a self-starter, comfortable with responsibility and excited about playing and developing games, Glu Mobile would very much like to hear from you.
