Meadowfields hel stack new record Students at Meadowfields
Community School can now lay claim to being part of a new Guine World Record in ort stacking. The World Sport Stacking A ociation (WSSA) a ounced a grand total of 316,757 ort stackers gathered on Guine World Records Day (Nov. 18) to stack for at least 30 minutes in schools and youth organizatio around the world. The number to beat was last year’s record of 276,053.

The record-setting effort was part of the 5th a ual WSSA Stack Up! Stackers representing 1,627 schools and organizatio from 25 countries ranging from Germany to Singapore to South Africa, took part.
During the course of the event participants up stacked and down stacked ecially designed plastic cu in various pyramids in prescribed patter with amazing eed and dexterity. Many schools set up
stacking statio in their gymnasiums where students rotated doing a variety of stacking activities combined with fitne challenges and relays.
According to Bob Fox, WSSA founder and executive director, this year’s Stack Up! Was significant not only because it surpa ed 300,000 stackers, but many of the schools selected charities to benefit as part of the stacking fun.
“From ca ed food drives to su orting the troo to raising funds for ecial causes, this year’s event not only set a new world record but provided a vehicle for many schools to give back to their communities,” he said.
Sport stacking has been termed a “track meet for your hands at warp eed.” Stackers race agai t the clock, compete in relays and often combine ort stacking with fitne activities as part of physical education

Sport stacking is in more than 32,000 schools and youth organizatio worldwide. It’s a ealing to teachers and students because it’s easy to learn but very challenging to master. The WSSA is the governing body for ort stacking and promotes stack meets, leagues and tournaments around the world.
To take part in the record-breaking Stack Up! Organizers were required to register 25 or more stackers with the WSSA. Once each participant in their group completed their 30 minutes of stacking (anytime during Nov. 18),
each organizer and a witne were required to send in an online verification of numbers to the WSSA, who forwarded the total count to Guine for official recognition. For more information visit this site.
ATVs with engines greater than 90cc are recommended for use only by riders age 16 years and older
