他们六个扮演“朋友们”住在纽约市区的公寓中；他们之间的友情、爱情和事业就是这部电视剧的主线，六个人鲜明的个性、幽默的性格使得《六人行》在欧美国家获得了巨大的成功，它已经成了新一代美国青年人的“必看电视剧”，也多次刷新了美国晚间档节目的收视记录。

剧情梗概：

Courteney Cox Arquette （Monica Gellar）
Courteney Cox是家中四个孩子中最小的，和父亲非常亲近。在她10岁的时候父母19年的婚姻结束了，Courteney和兄姐们留在了母亲身边。
Courteney在伯明翰上的是公立中学：Mountain Brook High，是个普通的青少年。她下午的时间都用来打工挣零用钱，平时喜欢打网球、游泳、参加啦啦队，可高中时代过得并不愉快，一群女孩子总是捉弄她。
在1982年高中毕业后她在华盛顿上了Mt. Vernon大学，主修建筑学。（即使是现在，她仍很喜欢改造装修房子）她的朋友Ian Copeland，建议她去演戏，并给了她很大的帮助。她为一些年轻人杂志照了不少相片，并拍了几个很迷人的广告。
从1984年开始，她就在多个肥皂剧里演一些小角色。在1985年，她参演了NBC的连续剧Misfits of Science，饰演一固定角色，但节目不受欢迎被迫在四个月后取消。不过不打紧，她随后又在Family Ties里找到一个角色，并广为观众所知。Courteney也在多个电影中有一些表现。
下一个大突破是在1994年，她和Jim Carrey一起演了Ace Ventura: Pet Detective。此后不久就被邀去为Friends试镜，成功得到Monica一角。Friends大受欢迎，令到她有机会得到以后更多的大角色，例如Scream三部曲等。
1999年6月，Courteney嫁给了David Arquette，Scream里一起合作的演员。Cournteney凡事都要求尽善尽美，而且她也似乎一直都做的很好。

MC：Marie Claire C：Courteney Cox
MC：在《FRIENDS》当中，Monica这一角色为什麽对你有这麽大的吸引力？
C：起初最令我感兴趣的角色是Rachel，但最后我发现自己简直被Monica的神经质性格给迷住了，因为尽管Monica身上有很多病态的表现，而恰恰在现实生活中我就是那副样子。演Monica给了我一个对付自己缺点的好机会。
MC：不工作时，你和你丈夫会常常在一起吗？
C：当然。通常我们在周一都没有什麽工作，所以周日的晚上对于我们就像是你们的周六。David和我都是出色的社交专家，我们喜欢把朋友们都请到我们的海边别墅来玩个通宵，那真是太美妙了！
MC：婚姻是否改变了你的独立性？
C：我们虽然住在一起，但是彼此是完全独立的个体，我想这对于婚姻而言非常重要，如果你处理不好这种关系，我劝你最好还是不要结婚。我非常满意自己现在的这种自在的婚姻状态。
MC：在你们的婚礼中，令你最难忘的事情是什麽呢？
C：在婚礼的前一天，也就是婚礼预演结束的宴会上，我突然不想结婚了。我们的婚礼在旧金山举行。当时我的家人和朋友都从阿拉把马赶过来，他们把我的婚礼称做阿拉把马的“Oscar盛宴”这令我很尴尬。你知道在阿拉把马，人们这样荒谬的说法很多。那天我喝了很多的酒，第二天一起床就感到头昏脑胀，直到六点我们的婚礼才开始举行。不过最令我难忘的是我的父亲牵着我的手走过长廊来到大家面前的那一刻！我当时哭得很伤心，那真的非常激动人心，对于每个女人来讲，这都是一生中最特殊的时刻。那时我父亲还没有发现自己患了癌症，一切都美好极了。我不断擦去自己脸上的泪水，在David和我父亲之间实在难以取舍。
MC：在David象你求婚以前，你对此有什麽打算吗？
C：没有。那天，我哥哥在佛罗里达的露天家具店开业，我们全家都到那里去参加他的庆祝仪式。David当时也去帮着组织，他的弟弟Alex扛着摄象机去帮忙拍摄。当时我自己以为David是一个铺张浪费的人，为了一个小店铺的开张花消这麽大。后来我的家人提出到处转转，我并没有出去。就在这个时候，David突然单膝跪地，Alex释放了美丽的烟火并用摄象机拍下了这一瞬间。我简直太吃惊了！
MC：你和David在婚后彼此间有什麽改变和影响吗？
C：我想我给David更多的是一种安全感，这种安全感在他长大***后就没有得到过，他需要这种感觉；而他对我的信任和他所给我的自由也是如此，对我很重要。David在我生命中给我送来了无数的惊喜！
MC：你认为，你们可以称做是一对美满
